The Orotava-Valley offers everything a mountain biker could want: gnarly singletrails, tough climbs and speedy downhills to Puerto de la Cruz. Our excursion starts on the west side of the valley and leads us through a wonderful jungle to an outlook with panoramic views into the valley and over the coastline.

After a few meters of uphill we arrive at the eastern end of the valley with the picnic-area "La Caldera". In the nearby tavern we can enjoy typical food. A downhill through the Pine-Forest brings us back to Puerto de la Cruz. For singletrail-fans there is also an extra trail through the fincaland and vineyards.

The Anaga-Mountains are our personal favourite. Naturalists and Singletrail-lovers are equally rewarded here. Deep jungles invite to be explored, breathtaking views over the coastline of the northeast justify the uphills. The numerous donkey-trails lead over technically challenging stone-steps into secluded  valleys.

Our roundtrip starts with a moderate uphill through rainforests . Narrow paths bring us to a small canarian tavern where we can strengthen ourselves for the rest of the tour which ends with an impressive singletrail.

The Cumbre Dorsal is a long gradually rising ridge that extends from the plateau of La Laguna, up to the Teide and the Cañadas solid. Vantage points along the trail offer spectacular panoramic views to the north coast or the south coast of Tenerife. Particularly interesting are the views south over the Anagamassiv to the port of Santa Cruz and on the north side of the Orotava Valley and across to Puerto de la Cruz.

In April, the inspiration here at this time luxuriantly flourishing gold poppy to many photos. This vast territory, with its dense network of paths a great mountain bike area. Since the signs of the paths and the maps in this area is more than scarce, is for many riders this field is still relatively unknown. Wrong to let yourself be surprised. There are countless opportunities for entry-level tour to the technically difficult singletrack tour. There are so many variations of the precise route description almost impossible.

Our starting point is the Zona Recreativa CALDRERETAS "From here, depending on the tour first uphill at least 10 km and 600 meters before we strengthen ourselves in the bar Las Lagunetas. This tour we usually leave with their 2 guides so you can always choose between longer or shorter tour and either take a circular route back to the car or grab a few meters on it and ride the bike back to Bike Station.

An absolute must for every visitor Tenerife is the National Park Las Cañadas. These are located at over 2,000 meters high plateau is unique and the highlight of the island.
 The Caldera de las Cañadas is a gigantic volcanic collapse boiler at about 17 km in diameter in the center of the island of Tenerife. The floor of this boiler is at about 2,000 meters above sea level South it is bounded up to 500 m high steep walls. In the north of the caldera rises the highest mountain with 3718 meters in Spain, the majestic Pico del Teide. In winter it is often covered with snow. Even landing on Tenerife fascinated by this huge mountain. The summit of Pico del Teide, you can only reach on foot, but this needs a special permit from the National Park Service. The total area of the gigantic Urkraters is for more than 50 years, National Park and is under strict protection. The Parque Nacional del Teide was established in 1954 and attracts many visitors every year from all over the world. A landmark of the Teide National Park is the rock group Los Roques to the Parador Nacional, a government hotel, where many top athletes stay at high altitude.
 In the national park there are not many trails to ride, we must nevertheless we managed to work out some nice trips. All tours to Mount Teide, we start, environmentally friendly, with a transfer of the public bus. Depending on the tour we start at an altitude of 1500 meters or 2000. Although in the mountains "mal" is cloudy, we are up here, usually above the clouds. The landscape up here is unique to the Canaries, the trails lead us past colorful rock formations, these impressions are likely to be the most long after their holiday in memory. As with most other tours we have the possibility of a retreat when the meters are defeated and then comes to most probably the longest downhill of her life 2240m to 0m.

The king's stage, we start at the foot of Mount Teide the highest mountain in Spain. The tour takes us to the paved road through the National Park "Las Cañadas". Past the Los Roques an impressive investment of countless rock formations we go to the Bocca de Tauce to the southwest. The huge lava field, with its rugged black slag chunks, which is shared by the asphalt Star aces gives almost the impression here as if a giant plow. Outside the National Park the tour goes on and off the road back after a few meters through the pine forests to Puerto de la Cruz.

What may not be missing - is a visit to the Bike Park Tenerife.

The bike park Tenerife is certainly not the biggest but the coolest bike park in the world!

In addition to various lines, North Shores, Four Cross and foam pit, the park offers everything for the biker .... If enough cyclists come together we will get a special delicious meal!
